Chama is a proposal of intervention and cultural object that intends, from the principle of dialogue with the aesthetics and culture of the village of Sarandira, to produce occasional, unusual e random situations, in order to encourage new ways of socialization that promote the creation, recreation and strengthening of affective bonds between the community and the territory.
From the circular arrangement and the dynamic and multiple game of heights and inclinations of the available sleepers, the object allows primary situations of coexistence and communion that fulfill the specific demands pointed out by the residents of Sarandira while producing unexpected situations of contact and desired appropriation. . To encompass the visual and functional effect that Chama proposes, “sparks” were proposed in the form of benches distributed throughout the village, according to the needs of the residents.
